Can music help people who have Parkinson’s disease?

Psyche Loui, an assistant professor who studies music perception and cognition at Northeastern, tested Parkinson’s disease patients’ ability to perceive and produce rhythm by having them move to the tune of popular songs. After four months of ‘dance intervention,’ patients exhibited fewer symptoms.
