NU-RES Open House: November 26, 2018; Curry Ballroom 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

The research administration, research compliance and research finance offices have successfully begun the implementation of their reorganization plan, which will ultimately align, coordinate and integrate their various regulatory and project management functions. Aligning functional areas of responsibility will provide better support for faculty and will enhance the team’s ability to better support the University’s diverse, expanding research portfolio.

Cross-functional organizational alignment is designed to improve the quality of research support services, enhance communication with faculty and college administrators; allowing an easier achievement of the universities collective research goals.

The team, in addition to being now physically co-located at 177 Huntington Avenue, is working on a number of process improvement initiatives designed to streamline processes, enhance compliance and promote a culture of research excellence.

To reflect the newly integrated team’s commitment to supporting the University’s faculty and research portfolio, the name of the group has been changed to:

Northeastern University – RESEARCH ENTERPRISE SERVICES (NU-RES)

Building a unified team will transform how we support research. The team’s combined talent not only optimizes existing resources but allows for the expansion of our capabilities to embrace emerging opportunities.

NU-RES will be hosting an Open House on Monday, November 26, 2018 from 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. in the Curry Ballroom. A more detailed program will be posted with a list of scheduled speakers and topics as well as a description of various stations to be situated around the ballroom.

Regular updates about NU-RES initiatives, training opportunities and system improvements will be shared in the coming months. Questions can be directed to [email protected].
