Request Space for Occupancy in ISEC

The Provost and Senior Vice Provost for Research are responsible for assigning faculty to lab/office spaces in the Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Complex (ISEC), currently scheduled to open in early 2017. The goal for this complex is to host high-impact interdisciplinary research programs that will make the best use of the facilities to further Northeastern’s strategic research goals, particularly in the major thematic areas of health, security, and sustainability.

Because the ISEC is designed for collaborative research, faculty must be committed to close interactions with research collaborators in an open laboratory setting. Proposals for occupancy must connect with existing clusters or be part of a new cluster proposal. At least initially, two-thirds of the faculty members accepted into the ISEC will be new hires. Cluster proposals should be submitted to Karen Drew in the Office of the Senior Vice Provost for Research and to David Navick in the Office of the Vice Provost for Budget, Planning & Administration.
