Director: Ted Landsmark, Director, Dukakis Center for Urban and Regional Policy
The Dukakis Center conducts interdisciplinary research, in collaboration with civic leaders and scholars both within and beyond Northeastern University, to identify and implement real solutions to the critical challenges facing urban areas throughout Greater Boston, the Commonwealth, and the nation. A focus of the Center’s research is on various aspects of smart growth, including sustainable and equitable public transportation. Recent reports, funded by the Barr Foundation include one on understanding the travel needs of Latinos in Massachusetts and another on opportunities and challenges for public transportation in Boston.
